About Livingston Studios The Making of Livingston Studios
Asti Livingston founded Livingston Studios in August 2013. From the start of Asti entering into the world of voice over, she longed for a place where all artist in the industry could gather, train and share knowledge and experiences. She wanted a place where new talents could be discovered and creativity could flow and flourish.
When diving into such an enterprise, there are many factors to consider, and things did not happen overnight. Many obstacles were encountered in the early stages of development. This, however, did not stop Asti's drive to make her dream a reality as she listened to the needs of her fellow voice actors.
A site was found, The Munitions Factory, a repurposed ammunition building which dates back to 1904. The building has gone through extensive renovations and already housed a well established recording studio, animation, graphics, a TV/Film production company, and other professionals in the industry. It's a perfect fit!
Establishing a studio for voice over training is not all that Asti had set out to do. She wanted the studio to be a hub for all voice over talent, a sanctuary where voice over actors and actresses could go when they needed assistance in improving their craft, honing their skills, or just being around fellow artists. Livingston Studios is welcomes children and senior voice talents alike, also features a sound pod that is handicap accessible. If you happen to be in the Toronto area come visit us!
Livingston Studios now exists to connect, create and innovate.
